Job Description

Summary:
The Drug Screening Collector's position is to be proficient and Certified in Specimen Collection Procedures, Alcohol Screening Devices and Fingerprinting. Understanding of Federal and State Drug and Alcohol Collection and Testing Regulations. Ability to answer questions concerning specimen collection, alcohol screening devices, testing and regulations as required. General supervision is received from the Director, Drug Screening Division and performance is evaluated through direct observation, conference, reports, and results achieved.
Essential Responsibilities:
Collection of urine specimens for drug testing by laboratory Collection of specimens (urine and saliva) for drug testing using instant devices. Collection of saliva and breath for alcohol testing Processing of Fingerprints Ability to travel to off-site locations to provide specimen collections and/or alcohol screening Order of collection and office supplies as needed Assist clients in locating local collection facilities using Laboratory Website Lookup Mail Employer Chain of Custody (COC) Input matched COC's and results into billing Assist in various collection site housekeeping tasks
Other Related Tasks Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of and/or experience in: Two years' experience in drug screening Principles and practices of drug screening administration. Federal, state, and local laws, ordinances, regulations and policies, which affect the drug screening business community.
High School Education Ability to:
Produce written documents with clearly organized thoughts using proper English sentence structure, punctuation, and grammar. Negotiate with representatives of various vendors and private and public agencies. Communicate orally in the English language with other employees and the general public in face-to-face, one-on-one settings, in group settings or by telephone. Work safely without presenting a direct threat to self or others. Some functions will require the use of personal or Edge Information Management, Inc. vehicles on Edge Information Management, Inc. business. Individual must be physically capable of operating the vehicles safely, possess a valid driver's license and have an acceptable driving record. Use of a personal vehicle for Edge Information Management, Inc. business will be prohibited if the employee is not authorized to drive an Edge Information Management, Inc. vehicle or if the employee does not have personal insurance coverage.
Operational/Technical Responsibilities:
Maintain a current understanding of regulatory trends and changes in law and to advise appropriate management staff of trends affecting their activity Capable of acquiring the following
Qualifications:
Certified Professional Collector (CPC) - NDASA Breath Alcohol Technician (BAT) Excellent written and oral communications skills.
Environmental Conditions:
Work conducted in primarily an office environment and in various meeting locations throughout the Organization; limited travel. Use of personal computer and keyboard as well as other office equipment (e.g., telephone, fax, copier, etc.).
Pay:
$17.00 - $20.00 per hour
