Onsite Biometric Screening Team Lead We are hiring for specific venipuncture screening events taking place in Little Canada, MN, but if hired, there will be other PRN employment opportunities with the company in the area throughout the rest of the year. Duties and Responsibilities of the
Team Lead:
Height Weight Waist circumference Blood pressure Perform venipuncture blood collection. Set up the screening room before the event, which may involve lifting 50-pound totes, unpacking, moving tables and chairs, and verifying that all necessary supplies are present. Manage the screening process independently and maintain an efficient participant flow. Serve as the onsite point of contact for participants and OHD. Train locally hired technicians on the morning of the screening event, covering OHD policies, procedures, and proper use of equipment. Answer participant questions and provide a professional, positive screening experience. Follow all OHD screening policies, procedures, and safety protocols. Maintain accurate screening results and documentation. Monitor equipment and supplies and communicate any issues to OHD. Make on-the-spot decisions to enhance service levels for clients, such as adjusting team members' roles, ensuring smooth workflow, and addressing client suggestions. Clean and organize the screening area at the conclusion of each shift. Work independently with minimal supervision. Provide additional support for other OHD biometric screening events in the area on a PRN basis, as opportunities are available. Education & Experience Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT). Minimum of 2 years of experience performing capillary puncture and venipuncture. Minimum of 1 year of experience working biometric screening events . Direct hands-on experience using the CardioChek system to analyze lipid panels and glucose levels. Previous experience leading or supervising a healthcare or screening team preferred. Strong understanding of biometric screening procedures and best practices. Ability to remain calm, professional, and composed in a fast-paced environment. Ability to manage multiple competing priorities and make decisions independently. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent organizational and time-management skills. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Professional, dependable, and team-oriented. Working Conditions & Physical Requirements Must be comfortable standing and working for extended periods. Must be able to set up and break down the screening area, including moving tables, chairs, and supplies as needed. Must be able to lift 50-pound totes that we ship our supplies in. Additional PRN opportunities may be available with OHD throughout the year at other employer screening events in the area.
