Bellevue, Washington & Information:
Minimum of 1 week block per month, 9hr clinic day Days& About Our Practice Maternal-Fetal Medicine Specialists of Eastside is a group of physicians, nurses, sonographers, dietitians, diabetic educators and genetic counselors who provide obstetrical care and screening for pregnant women in the greater Seattle area and beyond. We work with obstetricians and midwives in the local community to support maternal and fetal health in pregnancies that may be at increased risk of complication due to maternal age, pre-existing maternal conditions such as high blood pressure or diabetes, multiple gestation such as twins and triplets, and many other issues. We provide a screening service for low risk pregnancies to ensure that every family has access to top quality ultrasound imaging and education regarding screening options. Prenatal Diagnosis Perinatal consultation and ultrasound evaluations occur in our office at the same visit. Ultrasound is used to estimate the age or size of your baby, to look for birth defects or observe your baby's activity and environment to evaluate well-being. Evaluations of the placenta, uterus and cervix also provide information about possible prenatal risks to the pregnancy. We provide a full spectrum of tests including: amniocentesis, chorionic villus sampling (CVS), and percutaneous umbilical blood sampling (PUBS). Risks, benefits and potential fetal conditions are fully discussed at the time of ultrasound and prior to testing.
