Dental Assistant/ Registered Dental Assistant

Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Dental Assistant / Registered Dental Assistant to join our vibrant dental team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in delivering exceptional patient care by providing chairside assistance, managing clinical procedures, and ensuring the smooth operation of daily dental practice activities. Responsibilities Assist dentist during a variety of treatment procedures Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment following strict infection prevention management protocols. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays), including dental X-ray imaging and ensuring accuracy and patient safety. Manage patient records using Open Dental software, maintaining clinical confidentiality policies at all times. Perform vital signs assessments and medical documentation to support comprehensive patient care. Provide patient management support by explaining procedures, answering questions, and ensuring comfort throughout visits. Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment by adhering to infection control standards and aseptic techniques aligned with healthcare infection prevention guidelines. Prepare treatment rooms, instruments and tray setups for dental procedures. Perform general office duties, such as answering phone calls, responding to emails, and filing documents. Qualifications Valid certification as a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) or equivalent credential; experience as a Dental Assistant is highly preferred. Proficiency with Open Dental software, scheduling, records management. Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, dental equipment operation, and medical terminology relevant to dentistry. Experience with chairside assisting in general dentistry Ability to perform dental instrument processing and sterilization procedures efficiently while following infection control protocols. Familiarity with dental X-ray procedures Strong understanding of healthcare infection prevention and control practices, including aseptic technique. Excellent communication skills for effective patient care coordination and collaboration within the dental team. Ability to handle multiple responsibilities with professionalism while maintaining clinical confidentiality at all times. Pay:
$21.00 - $30.00 per hour Expected hours: 32.0 per week
