We believe in fostering a supportive and collaborative work environment, and we are looking for a part-time Orthodontic Assistant to join our dynamic team.Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Orthodontic Assistant (RDA or OA) to support our orthodontic team part-time. The ideal candidate will have a passion for patient care, a positive attitude, and a willingness to learn. As an Orthodontic Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring a smooth patient experience and assisting with various clinical procedures.Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the orthodontist during various procedures, including placing and removing braces, applying archwires, and taking impressions
- Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment in compliance with infection control standards
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and care for orthodontic appliances
- Manage patient records, including taking and documenting medical histories and treatment records
- Ensure that the treatment area is clean, organized, and properly stocked with necessary supplies
- Schedule patient appointments and coordinate with the front office staff
- Handle patient inquiries and provide excellent customer service
- Maintain a positive and professional demeanor while working with patients, families, and team members.
Qualifications:
- Current certification as a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) or Orthodontic Assistant (OA)
- Previous experience in an orthodontic practice preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Basic knowledge of dental and orthodontic terminology and procedures
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
- Proficient in utilizing dental software and technology.
