In this role, you will support dentists and hygienists by preparing treatment areas, assisting during procedures, maintaining infection control standards, and helping patients feel comfortable and well cared for. Duties & Responsibilities Prepare treatment rooms with dental instruments, supplies, and sterilized equipment. Assist dentists during general dentistry, oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry procedures. Take dental X-rays while following radiation safety and infection control protocols. Assist with 3D scanning and other modern dental imaging technologies. Provide chairside assistance, including instrument transfer, suctioning, and monitoring patients during procedures. Maintain accurate patient records using dental software such as Open Dental . Follow HIPAA and patient confidentiality requirements. Educate patients on oral health care and post-treatment instructions. Properly sterilize and process dental instruments according to infection control standards. Maintain a clean, organized, and well-prepared clinical environment. Communicate effectively with dentists, hygienists, front-office staff, and patients. Qualifications & Requirements Previous Dental Assistant experience is strongly preferred. Experience working in a busy dental office or clinical environment. Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and instruments. Experience with Open Dental or other dental management software is a plus. Familiarity with dental X-rays and 3D scanning technology. Strong understanding of infection control and instrument sterilization procedures. Ability to work efficiently while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent communication and patient-care skills. Dental assisting certification or relevant healthcare training is preferred. Experience with dentistry, oral surgery, endodontics, or prosthodontics is a plus.
