In this vital role, you will provide exceptional chairside assistance, ensure smooth clinical operations, and deliver outstanding patient care. Your expertise in dental procedures, infection control, and patient management will contribute to creating a welcoming environment where patients feel comfortable and cared for. Responsibilities Assist the dentist during a variety of dental procedures, including general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, oral surgery, endodontics, and prosthodontics. Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment in accordance with infection prevention management protocols. Take and develop dental x-rays and other medical imaging to aid in diagnosis and treatment planning. Manage patient records Perform chairside assisting duties including taking vital signs, explaining procedures to patients, and providing post-treatment instructions. Maintain clinical cleanliness by following aseptic techniques and dental sterilization procedures throughout the clinic. Support patient management by scheduling appointments, managing patient flow, and ensuring a positive patient experience. Requirements Valid certification as a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) with current licensure. Proven experience working in a dental clinic environment with knowledge of general dentistry practices. Strong understanding of dental terminology, equipment operation, and medical documentation standards. Proficiency with dental software such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft for managing patient records and appointments. Experience with dental x-ray procedures, including digital imaging and 3D scanner technology. Knowledge of infection control protocols, including dental sterilization procedures and healthcare infection prevention standards. Ability to perform clinical tasks such as taking vital signs, assisting with oral surgery or endodontic procedures, and handling dental instruments efficiently. Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and provide compassionate patient care. Familiarity with pediatric dentistry practices is a plus, along with experience in medical terminology relevant to dentistry.
