In this vital role, you will provide exceptional chairside assistance, ensuring smooth clinical operations and outstanding patient care. Your expertise in dental procedures, infection control, and patient management will contribute to creating a welcoming, efficient environment where patients feel cared for and confident. Duties Assist the dentist during a variety of dental procedures, including oral surgery, implant placement and general dentistry, ensuring all instruments and materials are prepared and sterilized according to infection prevention standards. Operate and maintain dental equipment such as X-ray machines, 3D scanners, and digital imaging systems while adhering to radiation safety protocols. Manage patient flow by greeting patients, updating medical histories, taking vital signs, and explaining procedures clearly to ensure comfort and understanding. Support infection control practices by following strict sterilization procedures for dental instruments and maintaining clinical confidentiality policies at all times. Collaborate with the team using four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency during procedures while maintaining excellent patient care standards. Experience Previous experience working in a dental setting is highly preferred, yet we are willing to train!! Some knowledge using Dentrix. Hands-on experience with dental sterilization procedures, infection prevention management, and aseptic techniques is crucial for maintaining a safe clinical environment. Familiarity with dental equipment including X-ray units, 3D scanners, dental instruments, enhances your ability to support diverse procedures efficiently. Understanding of healthcare infection prevention and control policies ensures compliance with HIPAA regulations and clinical safety standards.
