The ideal candidate will be a medical assistant with strong independent work skills, excellent patient care abilities, and a passion for mental health.
Skills and Qualifications:
Strong ability to work independently while supporting providers in patient care. Exceptional customer service and communication skills. Experience in a clinical setting, preferably in psychiatry or behavioral health. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and electronic medical records (EMR) systems. Ability to interact professionally with patients, clinic staff, and providers. Must adhere to office guidelines and maintain strict patient confidentiality. Reliable, punctual , and detail-oriented.General Duties:
Assist providers in administering and monitoring Spravato treatments following established protocols. Monitor patients before, during, and after treatment to ensure safety and comfort throughout the session. Provide compassionate support to patients experiencing depression and/or anxiety. Educate patients on treatment expectations, side effects, and post-care instructions. Administer psychiatric rating scales (PHQ-9, GAD-7 ) and guide patients through completion. Accurately document treatment sessions and complete all required patient encounters daily. Keep inventory of stock and reorder Spravato medication from specialty pharmacies as needed. Schedule and reschedule patient appointments while coordinating with providers and staff. Ensure proper setup and compliance with safety and REMS program guidelines. Administer psychiatric rating scales (PHQ9 and GAD7) and counsel patients on completion of scales. Completing all Encounters on a daily basis Explain and administer procedures to patients Verify insurances Answer phones Schedule and reschedule patient appointments while coordinating with providers and staff If you are a dedicated medical assistant with a strong ability to work independently and a passion for mental health, we encourage you to apply!Work Location:
