Our team is committed to delivering high-quality specialized dental services, and we are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic individual to join us as a Dental Assistant.
Position Overview:
- We are looking for a competent and compassionate Dental Assistant who can support our endodontist in providing excellent patient care during procedures and consultations. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, dependable, and comfortable working in a specialized dental environment, with strong typing skills to assist in accurate and efficient note-taking.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the endodontist with chairside procedures, including root canals and other endo treatments.
- Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary equipment is ready for procedures.
- Greet and prepare patients for treatment, ensuring their comfort throughout the visit.
- Take and process dental radiographs (X-rays) as instructed by the endodontist.
- Record patient medical histories, treatment plans, and notes in dental practice management software in real time while the endodontist speaks with the patient.
- Educate patients about post-procedure care and answer any questions they may have.
- Maintain strict infection control protocols and adhere to OSHA guidelines.
- Monitor and maintain dental supplies, placing orders as needed to ensure the operatory is fully stocked.
- Support front office staff with patient scheduling and follow-ups when necessary.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Dental Assistant, preferably in endo or another specialty dental practice.
- Certification in Dental Radiography (X-ray license) required.
- Strong typing skills with the ability to take accurate notes efficiently in dental practice management software during patient consultations.
- Knowledge of dental practice management software preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with patients and team members.
- Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced clinical environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a sterile and safe workspace.
- Friendly and approachable personality with a professional attitude.
