Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate dental assisting staff to ensure efficient clinic operations and high-quality patient care. Assist the dentist during various procedures, including oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry, utilizing advanced chairside assisting techniques. Manage medical documentation accurately within electronic medical record (EMR) systems such as Eaglesoft and Dentrix, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. Perform dental x-ray procedures and operate medical imaging equipment while maintaining strict infection prevention management protocols. Process dental instruments and sterilize equipment following established dental sterilization procedures to uphold aseptic techniques. Educate patients on oral health practices, treatment plans, and post-procedure care while managing patient management software for scheduling and follow-ups. Monitor vital signs and assist in medical documentation to support comprehensive patient assessments during visits. Maintain proficiency in dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and technical skills related to dental equipment including 3D scanners and dental x-ray units.
