Position Summary:
We're seeking a motivated, experienced, and patient-focused Dental Assistant to join our team full-time. The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of experience , is confident with technology, and enjoys a variety of responsibilities — from chairside assisting to hands-on dental lab work (crowns, dentures, temporaries, etc.). You should be a team player who's willing to take initiative and assist wherever needed, including front desk and administrative support when required. Responsibilities Assist dentists during examinations and procedures, ensuring optimal patient comfort and safety. Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are available. Take and develop X-rays as required, adhering to safety protocols. Maintain accurate patient records using EMR systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. Perform four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency during procedures. Monitor and record vital signs as needed, providing essential information to the dental team. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care. Handle administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and managing medical documentation. Ensure infection control protocols are followed to maintain a safe clinical environment. Skills Proficient in dental terminology and familiar with various dental specialties including pediatric dentistry, general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and more. Experience with medical imaging techniques and 3D scanners is an asset. Knowledge of aseptic techniques and anatomy related to dental practices. Familiarity with medical coding, medical records management, and documentation processes. Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment. Previous experience in a dental clinic setting is preferred but not mandatory. $22.00 - $27.00 per hour
