Responsibilities Assist dental hygienists and dentists during patient procedures by preparing instruments and materials, practicing four-handed dentistry techniques, and managing chairside assisting tasks. Take and develop dental x-rays and 3D scans using advanced imaging equipment, ensuring accurate positioning and patient comfort. Manage patient records using electronic medical records (EMR) systems such as Eaglesoft , ensuring all documentation complies with HIPAA regulations. Perform dental instrument processing, sterilization procedures, and infection prevention management to uphold strict aseptic techniques. provide medical documentation to support comprehensive patient care in accordance with clinical confidentiality policies. Educate patients on oral health practices, post-treatment care, and treatment plans while demonstrating excellent patient management skills. Maintain dental equipment, including dental sterilization tools, X-ray machines, and other clinical devices, ensuring proper functioning at all times. Requirements Prior experience working in a dental clinic setting or as a dental assistant is highly preferred. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and dental procedures. Proficiency with dental software including Eaglesoft for scheduling, medical records management, and billing processes. Familiarity with infection control protocols aligned with healthcare infection prevention standards. Ability to operate dental equipment such as X-ray machines, 3D scanners, sterilizers, and other clinical tools safely and effectively. Excellent communication skills to interact confidently with patients of all ages while demonstrating professionalism and empathy. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure the confidentiality of medical records and patient information. Must have coronal polish and x-ray certification.
