The right candidate to join our team must have completed an accredited dental assisting program, have obtained an expanded duties certification and be comfortable assisting in all facets of dental care, from simple restorations to more complex work like crown and bridge, implants and prosthodontics. Duties Assist dentists during complex procedures such as oral surgery, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry, ensuring smooth workflow and patient comfort Perform dental x-rays and 3D scans with precision, adhering to all safety and infection prevention standards Process and sterilize dental instruments and equipment following strict infection control policies and aseptic techniques Manage patient records accurately using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) in Dentrix Ascend (training available), ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations Take vital signs and medical histories to prepare patients for treatment while maintaining clinical confidentiality policies Provide chairside assistance using four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency and patient care quality Educate patients on oral health practices, post-treatment care, and treatment plans to foster positive outcomes Qualifications Proven experience as a Dental Assistant with expanded functions certification (EFDA) preferred or equivalent training in general dentistry settings Proficiency in dental software such as Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or other patient management systems Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and dental procedures including oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry Skilled in taking high-quality dental x-rays and operating advanced dental equipment including 3D scanners and medical imaging devices Expertise in infection prevention management, sterilization procedures, aseptic technique, and healthcare infection control standards Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients of all ages and collaborate with team members such as dental receptionists and hygienists Ability to maintain clinical confidentiality policies while managing sensitive medical documentation and records Knowledge of dental sterilization procedures, instrument processing, and infection control protocols in compliance with healthcare regulations Join our dedicated team where your expertise will make a meaningful difference!
