Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental clinic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care while assisting the dentist in various procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of dental practices, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Duties Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow through four-handed dentistry techniques. Prepare and maintain the treatment room, including sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are available. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed. Educate patients on oral hygiene, post-operative care, and treatment plans. Maintain accurate patient records using Dentrix or similar dental software systems. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality. Support pediatric patients with care and comfort during their visits. Perform administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, managing patient files, and handling billing inquiries. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent; Experience helpful, but will train. Knowledge of medical terminology related to dentistry helpful. •Computer skills helpful. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and team members. Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
