Joyful Dentistry for Kids is a values-based, privately owned pediatric dental practice with four locations across the greater Kansas City area. We're seeking full-time Dental Assistants to join our growing teams at our Lenexa and Overland Park locations! We're looking for individuals who love working with kids, thrive in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment, and bring positivity, initiative, and a willingness to learn to every day. Dental Assisting experience is preferred, but not required. We are willing to train the right person! As a Dental Assistant at Joyful Dentistry for Kids, you'll work alongside our doctors and clinical team to provide an exceptional experience for our pediatric patients and their families. From helping children feel comfortable in the dental chair to keeping the clinical day running smoothly, our Dental Assistants play an essential role in creating the Joyful experience. Responsibilities Assist doctors during pediatric dental procedures and examinations Prepare patients and treatment areas for dental procedures Help children feel safe, comfortable, and confident throughout their visit Take dental radiographs when appropriately trained and permitted Accurately document treatment and patient information in the clinical record Prepare, clean, disinfect, and turn over operatories between patients Follow infection-control, sterilization, and clinical safety protocols Maintain clean, organized, and properly stocked clinical areas Assist with instrument sterilization and equipment maintenance Anticipate provider needs and help maintain efficient clinical flow Communicate effectively with doctors, team members, patients, and parents Provide post-operative instructions to parents and caregivers as directed Support teammates throughout the patient day and step in where needed Participate in ongoing training and professional development Maintain professionalism, dependability, and a positive attitude Help create an environment where children can develop a positive relationship with dentistry What We Value JOY

Experience & Qualifications Dental Assisting experience preferred, but not required Pediatric dental experience preferred Experience working with children is a plus Strong communication and interpersonal skills Dependable, organized, and willing to take initiative Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment Positive attitude and willingness to learn and grow Locations Positions are currently available at: Lenexa, KS 66219 Overland Park, KS Applicants should be willing to work at either our Lenexa, or Overland Park location based on staffing and scheduling needs.
