The Treatment Coordinator plays a critical role in creating an exceptional patient experience while helping patients understand and move forward with their orthodontic treatment. This position is ideal for someone who is warm and personable, an excellent communicator, comfortable with sales, and knowledgeable about orthodontics . The ideal candidate can make patients feel welcomed and comfortable while confidently presenting treatment options and helping patients begin their orthodontic journey. Key Responsibilities Welcome patients warmly and create a comfortable, positive experience from the moment they arrive. Prepare and present patient welcome gifts and ensure each patient receives a personalized experience. Coordinate the patient consultation and treatment presentation process. Educate patients and parents about orthodontic treatment, including braces and other treatment options. Confidently present and sell orthodontic treatment plans before the patient meets with the Finance Coordinator . Clearly communicate the benefits, expectations, and value of recommended treatment. Use strong sales and communication skills to help patients feel confident in their treatment decisions. Answer patient questions and address concerns with professionalism, empathy, and confidence. Take patient photographs and complete necessary orthodontic records. Be X-ray certified and able to take appropriate diagnostic records, as permitted by applicable regulations. Perform digital scans and other records required for orthodontic diagnosis and treatment. Demonstrate knowledge of orthodontic terminology, procedures, appliances, and treatment processes. Understand basic orthodontic clinical procedures, including adjustments and appliance-related care. Assist the clinical team with orthodontic procedures and patient flow as needed. Maintain accurate patient records and ensure all necessary records are completed. Communicate effectively with doctors, clinical staff, financial coordinators, and patients. Help create a positive, organized, and energetic office environment. Follow all applicable clinical, safety, privacy, and regulatory requirements. Qualifications & Skills Previous experience in orthodontics or dentistry strongly preferred . Strong understanding of orthodontic treatment, including braces, adjustments, scans, photographs, and diagnostic records. X-ray certification required or ability to obtain certification as required by the practice and applicable regulations. Proven sales or treatment coordination experience preferred. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Confident, outgoing, friendly, and approachable personality. Comfortable discussing treatment costs and helping patients make treatment decisions. Strong customer service and relationship-building skills. Professional appearance and positive attitude. Ability to work in a fast-paced, patient-focused environment. Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask. Comfortable learning and using orthodontic technology and digital scanning systems.
