Job Summary Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Assistant, where your enthusiasm and clinical expertise will directly enhance patient care and streamline our practice operations. In this vital role, you will support dentists during procedures, manage patient flow, and ensure the highest standards of infection control and clinical confidentiality. Your proactive approach will help create a welcoming environment for patients of all ages, including pediatric dentistry, while maintaining precise medical documentation and utilizing advanced dental software systems. Responsibilities Assist dentists chairside during a variety of procedures including restorative, endodontic, prosthodontic, and oral surgery treatments. Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment in accordance with infection prevention management policies. Take high-quality dental x-rays and utilize 3D scanners to aid in accurate diagnosis and treatment planning. Manage patient records using Curve software. Support patient care by taking vital signs, explaining procedures, and addressing patient questions with professionalism and empathy. Ensure clinical confidentiality policies are strictly followed while handling medical documentation and records. Maintain a clean, organized clinical environment by following dental sterilization procedures and aseptic techniques. Assist with dental instrument processing, dental equipment maintenance, and managing dental supplies to ensure smooth daily operations. Support the dental reception team by managing patient check-in/out processes and scheduling appointments using Curve software. Stay updated on medical terminology relevant to dentistry and healthcare infection control standards to uphold best practices in all clinical activities. Experience Prior experience working in a dental clinic setting is highly preferred, especially with general dentistry procedures. Familiarity with EMR systems preferred. We use Curve. Knowledge of dental terminology, medical terminology, and anatomy enhances your ability to support complex procedures confidently. Hands-on experience with dental x-ray techniques, including digital imaging and 3D scanning technology. Demonstrated understanding of infection control protocols, aseptic techniques, and dental sterilization procedures. Experience assisting with pediatric dentistry or oral surgery is a valuable asset for supporting diverse patient needs. Certification in dental assisting or related fields is advantageous but not mandatory; ongoing training is encouraged to stay current with industry standards.
