The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in clinical assisting, patient care, and dental procedures, with a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of safety, hygiene, and patient comfort. As a Dental Assistant, you will support dentists during various procedures, manage patient interactions, and ensure the smooth operation of daily clinic activities. Responsibilities Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing dental instruments and ensuring all equipment is functioning properly in accordance with infection prevention management protocols. Assist dentists during clinical procedures by providing chairside support and managing dental instruments efficiently. Take and develop dental x-rays and utilize medical imaging technology, including 3D scanners, to aid in accurate diagnosis and treatment planning. Manage patient records using electronic health record (EHR) systems like Eaglesoft while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations for clinical confidentiality policies. Maintain a clean and sterile environment by following dental sterilization procedures and aseptic techniques aligned with healthcare infection prevention standards. Ensure proper dental equipment operation and assist with dental instrument processing to uphold high standards of clinical hygiene. Qualifications Proven experience as a Dental Assistant with knowledge of general dentistry practices and clinical assisting techniques. Familiarity with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft for managing medical records and documentation. Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and medical terminology relevant to dentistry. Knowledge of infection control protocols including dental sterilization procedures and healthcare infection prevention practices. Ability to operate dental equipment effectively while adhering to aseptic techniques. Excellent communication skills for patient care coordination and team collaboration within a busy clinic setting. Certification in CPR or basic life support (BLS) is preferred; ongoing training in healthcare infection prevention is advantageous.
