In this energetic position, you will assist with clinical procedures, manage patient flow, and ensure the smooth operation of our dental practice. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will help create a welcoming environment where patients feel comfortable and cared for. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and more. Duties Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing dental instruments and ensuring all equipment is functioning properly in accordance with dental sterilization procedures and infection prevention management policies Assist dentists chairside during various procedures including oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry, providing support with dental instruments and materials Educate patients on oral health care practices, post-treatment instructions, and preventive measures to promote optimal dental health Maintain a clean, organized clinical environment by processing dental instruments correctly and following infection control protocols including aseptic techniqueRequirements Proven experience working in a dental clinic setting with knowledge of general dentistry procedures and dental terminology Open Dental experience preferred but not required Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations, infection prevention management, and healthcare infection control standards Ability to operate dental equipment including X-ray machines, 3D scanners, and other clinical tools with precision Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with dentists, hygienists, receptionists, and patients as a dental receptionist when needed Knowledge of anatomy relevant to oral surgery and endodontics to assist during complex procedures Certification or training in dental assisting or related fields is preferred but not mandatory; ongoing professional development is encouraged Hours M-W 7:30 am- 6 pm Th 730am-1pm One sat a month 730-12pm Embark on a rewarding career where your expertise makes a real difference!
