Job Overview Stumph Dentistry, a family-focused general dental practice in Boonville, MO, is looking for a friendly, dependable Dental Assistant to join our team. We are a well-established family dental practice that takes pride in providing excellent patient care in a welcoming, comfortable environment. We value dependability, teamwork, and treating our patients - and each other - like family. Dental assisting experience is preferred, but we are interested in finding the right person to become a long term member of our team. Duties Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing dental instruments and ensuring all necessary equipment is ready for procedures. Assist dentists chairside during a variety of treatments such as dental prophylaxis, oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry. Manage patient management software and electronic medical records (EMR systems) to document treatment details accurately while maintaining clinical confidentiality policies. Provide patient care by explaining procedures, taking vital signs, and ensuring comfort throughout visits. Follow infection control procedures including dental sterilization protocols and aseptic techniques to prevent healthcare-associated infections. Support the dental reception team by managing appointment scheduling, patient check-in/out processes, and handling medical documentation with professionalism. Qualifications Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar dental clinic environment with knowledge of general dentistry procedures. Familiarity with dental software such as Carestream and Soft Dent. Strong understanding of dental terminology, medical terminology, and anatomy relevant to oral health care. Certification in dental assisting or related field preferred; CPR certification is advantageous. Knowledge of infection prevention management, dental sterilization procedures, and aseptic techniques required to ensure patient safety. Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members such as dental receptionists and healthcare professionals while providing outstanding patient care.
Pay:
$17.00 - $20.00 per hour
