Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our dental team by providing exceptional patient care and assisting with various clinical procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, infection control, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Duties Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques. Prepare and maintain the treatment area, ensuring compliance with aseptic techniques and infection control protocols. Take and develop dental X-rays, including medical imaging for diagnostic purposes. Manage patient records, including medical documentation and medical coding, while adhering to HIPAA regulations. Conduct preliminary assessments by taking vital signs and gathering patient medical history. Provide chairside assistance during various procedures, including general dentistry, endodontics, and oral surgery dentistry. Educate patients on post-operative care and oral hygiene practices. Requirements Xray License a Must Previous experience in a dental setting is preferred. Proficient knowledge of dental terminology and anatomy. Understanding of infection control practices and aseptic techniques. Ability to perform chairside assisting effectively Strong communication skills to interact effectively with patients and team members.
