Job Description

Advanced Smile Dentistry is seeking an experienced, dependable, and patient-focused Certified Dental Assistant with 5+ years of clinical experience to join our fast-paced and growing practice. We are looking for a team player who is confident in all aspects of chairside assisting, takes initiative, and is committed to providing exceptional patient care.
Duties:
Assist the doctor with all dental procedures ( restorative & surgical) Take digital Xrays-including CBCT and standard Xrays Take Digital Scan Impressions as needed ( Trios Scanner + iTero Scanner) Perform efficient and accurate procedures to help maintain doctors' schedule and patient flow Plan and set up operatories: sterilize instruments, prepare trays, and ensure all equipment is ready Ensure cleanliness and organization of treatment rooms between patients Maintain accurate clinical records and charting Review patient chart prior to doctor arrival and log appropriate patient data during exam and treatment as well as transcribe doctor notes in patient chart Ensure equipment functionality, perform routine preventive maintenance, and troubleshoot or escalate issues Provide pre and post-operative care instructions to patients Maintain patient confidentiality through HIPAA compliance Maintain accurate clinical records and charting Ensure compliance with OSHA and infection control standards Follow organizations safety policies and procedures Have knowledge and understanding of dental terminology sufficient to perform job successfully Verify patient health history (basic health review, medications, understanding impact with dentistry) and document appropriately in patients chart. Assist with other office duties as requested or needed Assisting with lab tasks as needed
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

Work uniformly as a "team player" to increase office efficiency Demonstrate the ability to solve problems by providing solutions Excellent written and oral communication skills Experience with implants, oral surgery, and full-arch restoration procedures is a plus Knowledge of digital dentistry and dental software Professional and compassionate demeanor Strong work ethic and ability to multitask in a busy environment Enthusiastic and outgoing personality The ability to make decisions independently Address patient concerns while remaining calm, effective, and even-tempered in high-pressure circumstances Be present, engaged, ready to work at all assigned shift times.
