Job Overview Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Assistant, where your enthusiasm and expertise will help create a welcoming environment for patients while supporting the delivery of exceptional dental care. In this vital role, you will assist dentists during procedures, manage patient care, and ensure the smooth operation of daily clinical activities. Your proactive approach and attention to detail will contribute to maintaining high standards of infection control, patient safety, and clinical efficiency. Duties Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing and organizing dental instruments and equipment in accordance with dental sterilization procedures and infection prevention management policies Assist dentists during a variety of procedures including oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry by providing chairside support and managing dental instruments efficiently Take and develop dental x-rays and 3D scans using advanced medical imaging technology while ensuring adherence to HIPAA regulations for patient confidentiality Manage patient records using electronic medical records (EMR) systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or similar software to ensure accurate documentation of medical history, vital signs, treatment plans, and medical documentation Provide exceptional patient care by explaining procedures, answering questions, and ensuring comfort throughout visits while practicing clinical confidentiality policies Support patient management through scheduling appointments with patient management software and coordinating follow-up care as needed Maintain a clean, organized clinical environment by processing dental instruments properly and adhering to infection control standards including aseptic technique and healthcare infection prevention protocols Qualifications Proven experience working in a dental clinic environment with knowledge of general dentistry practices and clinical procedures Familiarity with dental assisting techniques including chairside assisting, dental terminology, and dental equipment operation Proficiency in EMR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix; experience with patient management software is highly desirable Knowledge of dental x-ray procedures, oral surgery support, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry is preferred Strong understanding of infection control standards including dental sterilization procedures and healthcare infection prevention and control expertise Ability to accurately take vital signs and perform medical imaging tasks while maintaining strict confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment Join us in delivering outstanding dental care where your skills make a real difference!
