The Image Press is a large-format printing and graphics company located in Cicero, NY. We produce custom signage, vehicle graphics and wraps, banners, displays, wall and window graphics, and a wide range of large-format printed products for customers throughout the United States. We are looking for a dependable, detail-oriented Operator to join our production team. This position is responsible for operating our Zund digital cutting system to accurately cut, route, crease, and finish a variety of printed and non-printed material.

Responsibilities Machine Operation:

Prepare and run digital cutting tables, including loading sheet or roll materials, selecting correct tools (knives, routers, wheels), and calibrating the machine.

File Management:

Load, review, and process digital cut files using cutting software, CAD/CAM applications, or vector tools.

Quality Control:

Monitor the cutting process, perform routine measurements and quality checks, and minimize material waste.

Maintenance & Troubleshooting:

Clean the equipment, perform basic daily maintenance, and resolve minor hardware or software cutting issues.

Team Collaboration:

Work with prepress, design, and production staff to verify work orders and meet strict project deadlines.

Required Skills & Qualifications Experience:

1 to 3 years of experience operating digital cutting tables, CNC routers, or laser cutters (we are willing to train the right candidate)

Technical Knowledge:

Ability to read work orders, production specs, and basic technical or CAD drawings.

Software Literacy:

Familiarity with digital cut queue software, RIP programs, or vector editing tools like Adobe Illustrator.

Physical Ability:

Mechanical aptitude with the capacity to stand for long shifts and lift up to 100 lbs.
