Job Description

Skaneateles Dental Associates is looking a dental assistant to aid us in running sterilization. As a Sterile Technician, you will be the backbone of our infection control and instrument management. You will work behind the scenes to make sure inventory is stocked and all operatories have what they need to five great patient care in a timely manner.
Responsibilities Include:
Turn on all lights and devices to open the office in the morning Process instruments for Doctors and Hygiene Distribute instruments to proper operatories Maintain the Sterilization area and keep organized Help turn over rooms as needed for Doctors and Hygienist Take x-rays as needed Biological Testing Maintain logs of testing and chemical change over Assist with sealants as needed Seat patients to keep schedule on time General housekeeping This job requires strong skills in multitasking and time management. The ideal candidate is a team player who can multitask and be an effective communicator. DOE, with the opportunity to assist chairside Hours are Monday through Thursday from 7:30 to 5:15 Previous experience in a dental office, dental assisting and instrument sterilization is a plus.
