Overview Join our dynamic dental team as an Experienced Dental Assistant and play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and supporting our clinical operations. In this energetic role, you will assist dentists during procedures, manage patient flow, and ensure the highest standards of infection control and clinical efficiency. Your expertise in dental assisting, combined with your knowledge of dental equipment and patient management software, will help create a welcoming environment where patients feel cared for and confident in their oral health journey. Responsibilities Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up dental tools, and ensuring all equipment is functioning properly according to infection prevention management protocols. Assist dentists during a variety of procedures including general dentistry, oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry with precision and professionalism. Take high-quality dental x-rays and medical imaging while adhering to dental sterilization procedures and aseptic techniques to maintain clinical confidentiality policies. Manage patient records using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft, ensuring accurate medical documentation and compliance with HIPAA regulations. Provide excellent patient care by explaining procedures, taking vital signs, and ensuring patient comfort throughout their visit. Support dental reception duties by scheduling appointments, managing patient flow with patient management software, and answering patient inquiries effectively. Maintain dental equipment including 3D scanners, dental instruments, and other clinical tools while following infection control standards for sterilization and safety. Experience Proven experience as a Dental Assistant in a busy dental clinic environment with familiarity in general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, oral surgery, endodontics, or prosthodontics preferred. Hands-on knowledge of dental x-ray techniques, medical imaging procedures, and dental instrument processing. Proficiency with EMR systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft; experience with patient management software is highly desirable. Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and clinical confidentiality policies to ensure compliance with healthcare regulations. Demonstrated ability to perform chairside assisting using four-handed dentistry techniques efficiently while maintaining infection prevention standards. Knowledge of dental sterilization procedures, aseptic technique, and healthcare infection prevention and control expertise. Excellent communication skills for effective patient management and collaboration within the dental team.
