This position is through the University of Toledo and offers a benefits package to their employees. Responsibilities Assist dentists during a variety of clinical procedures, including chairside assisting, dental x-ray, and oral surgery support Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment following strict infection prevention management and aseptic techniques Manage patient records using electronic medical records (EMR systems) such as Dentrix to ensure accurate documentation Take and develop dental radiographs (X-ray) while adhering to HIPAA regulations and radiation safety protocols Perform vital signs measurement and medical imaging to monitor patient health status before procedures Support patient management by providing excellent patient care, explaining procedures, and ensuring comfort throughout visits Maintain clinical confidentiality policies while handling sensitive medical documentation and records Assist with dental instrument processing, sterilization procedures, and maintaining infection control standards in accordance with healthcare infection prevention guidelines Support general dentistry procedures including prosthodontics, endodontics, oral surgery, and pediatric dentistry as part of a collaborative team Operate dental equipment such as 3D scanners and dental chairs efficiently while ensuring proper maintenance and safety compliance Contribute to four-handed dentistry practices by working seamlessly alongside the dental team for efficient patient flow Join us as we empower aspiring Dental Assistants through training programs that open doors to rewarding careers in dentistry.
