Job Description
```Duties``` We are seeking a skilled and experienced Dental Assistant to join our team. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a crucial role in assisting the dentist during various dental procedures and providing exceptional patient care.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations and procedures
- Assist the dentist during dental procedures by handing them instruments and materials
- Take x-rays and chart existing teeth and treatment plan with doctor
- Perform basic laboratory duties such as pouring and trimming models, fabricating temporary crowns, taking impressions, make bleaching trays.
- Provide post-operative instructions to patients
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
- Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and maintain aseptic technique throughout procedures
- Follow HIPAA guidelines to protect patient confidentiality
- Assist with dental receptionist duties as needed, including scheduling appointments and answering phone calls
Skills:
- Proficient in assisting with pediatric and adult dental procedures
- Knowledge of aseptic technique and infection control protocols
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and guidelines
- Strong assisting skills, including the ability to anticipate the needs of the dentist during procedures
- Experience with dental receptionist duties, such as scheduling appointments.
- Competence in medical documentation using Dentrix software
