Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our family dental practice. The ideal candidate will support Dr. Moore through chairside assisting, providing exceptional patient care, ensuring smooth operations within the dental office, and maintaining high standards of infection control and patient confidentiality. This role offers an opportunity to work in a patient-focused private practice. Prior experience with Eaglesoft and digital X-rays is preferred. The Dental Assistant will play a vital role in delivering comprehensive dental services while adhering to HIPAA regulations and aseptic techniques. Duties Assist dentist during various procedures including chairside assisting and four-handed dentistry techniques Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are available Take X-rays Ensure infection control protocols are strictly followed to maintain a sterile environment Provide patient education on dental procedures, oral hygiene, and post-treatment care Manage medical documentation and records in compliance with HIPAA regulations Assist with administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and updating medical records as needed. Requirements Proven experience working in a dental clinic environment; familiarity with dental assisting duties is essential Knowledge of HIPAA regulations, infection control practices, and aseptic techniques Ability to perform X-ray procedures safely and accurately; certification in radiography required. Excellent communication skills for patient interaction and team collaboration Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail This position offers an engaging work environment where your skills contribute directly to patient health and satisfaction.
