EFDA Dental Assistant/Dental Assistant

Job Description

Responsibilities:
  • Assist the dentist during dental procedures
  • Prepare treatment rooms and instruments for dental procedures
  • Take and develop dental x-rays
  • Perform dental receptionist duties, including scheduling appointments and managing patient records
  • Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-operative care
  • Maintain a clean and sterile environment by following aseptic techniques
  • Assist with dental lab work as needed
Requirements:
  • Dental assisting certification or relevant experience
  • Proficiency in Dentrix or Eaglesoft software for managing patient records
  • Knowledge of medical documentation and record keeping
  • Familiarity with pediatric dentistry is a plus
  • Ability to perform dental x-rays and use proper radiation safety measures
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work well with patients of all ages
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Please note that this job description is not exhaustive and additional duties may be assigned as needed.
