Duties Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing dental instruments and ensuring all equipment is ready for procedures in accordance with dental sterilization procedures and infection prevention management policies Assist dentists during a variety of treatments including general dentistry, oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry by providing chairside support and managing dental instruments with precision Take and develop dental x-rays and 3D scans while adhering to dental x-ray safety protocols and radiation safety standards Manage patient records using electronic medical records (EMR) systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix, ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance with HIPAA regulations Collect vital signs and medical documentation from patients to support comprehensive care plans while maintaining clinical confidentiality policies Educate patients on oral health practices, post-treatment care, and preventive measures to promote long-term dental wellness Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, managing patient management software, and assisting the dental receptionist with front desk duties when needed Skills Proficiency in dental assisting techniques including four-handed dentistry, chairside assisting, and oral surgery support Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and dental equipment operation Experience with infection control protocols, aseptic technique, and healthcare infection prevention and control expertise Familiarity with EMR systems like Eaglesoft or Dentrix for efficient medical documentation and record keeping Ability to operate dental imaging equipment including X-ray machines, digital sensors, and 3D scanners safely and accurately Excellent patient management skills with a compassionate approach to pediatric dentistry and general patient care Knowledge of dental sterilization procedures and infection prevention management to ensure a safe clinical environment Join us in delivering outstanding dental care by combining your technical skills with your passion for patient well-being.
