Duties Prepare treatment rooms with dental instruments, supplies, and equipment, ensuring all tools are sterilized and ready for use according to infection prevention management protocols. Assist dentists during a variety of procedures including oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and orthodontic treatment. Also providing chairside support with precision and care. Take high-quality dental x-rays and medical imaging, ensuring proper technique while maintaining patient comfort and safety in compliance with dental sterilization procedures. Manage patient records using advanced patient management software such as Dentrix , accurately documenting medical history, vital signs, and treatment details in accordance with HIPAA regulations. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, post-treatment care, and treatment plans while demonstrating excellent patient care skills that foster trust and reassurance. Perform dental instrument processing tasks including sterilization, inventory management, and ensuring all dental equipment is functioning optimally for efficient clinic operations. Skills Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems such as Dentrix for accurate data entry and retrieval. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and clinical confidentiality policies to ensure precise communication and compliance. Experience with dental x-ray techniques, oral surgery support, endodontics procedures, orthodontic treatment, and general dentistry practices. Expertise in infection control standards including aseptic technique, sterilization procedures, healthcare infection prevention and control expertise. Ability to operate dental equipment such as 3D scanners, medical imaging devices, dental sterilizers, and other clinical tools efficiently. Excellent patient management skills with a focus on providing compassionate care tailored to pediatric patients when necessary. Familiarity with general dentistry workflows including four-handed dentistry techniques for seamless team collaboration. Speak Spanish and English proficiently.
