Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Registered Dental Assistant to join our dynamic team. Responsibilities Assist the dentist during various dental procedures, including oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry, ensuring smooth clinical operations. Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up dental equipment, and ensuring adherence to infection prevention management protocols. Take and develop dental X-rays while maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations and dental x-ray safety standards. Manage patient records using electronic medical records (EMR) systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality in accordance with clinical confidentiality policies. Perform chairside assisting duties, including patient management, vital signs measurement, and explaining procedures using appropriate dental terminology. Process dental instruments following sterilization procedures and infection control guidelines to uphold healthcare infection prevention standards. Support the dental receptionist by managing patient flow, scheduling appointments, and verifying insurance information when necessary. Maintain knowledge of dental equipment operation, including 3D scanners and medical imaging devices, to support diagnostic procedures. Ensure the clinic environment remains organized, sterile, and compliant with all infection prevention policies at all times. Qualifications Valid certification as a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) with current licensure in the applicable region. Proven experience working in a dental clinic environment with proficiency in general dentistry procedures and pediatric dentistry. Familiarity with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix for efficient patient data management. Knowledge of dental sterilization procedures, infection control practices, and aseptic techniques. Ability to operate dental equipment including X-ray machines, 3D scanners, and other diagnostic tools safely and effectively. Strong understanding of medical terminology, dental terminology, and anatomy relevant to oral health care. Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients of all ages, especially pediatric patients. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a team practicing four-handed dentistry techniques.
