Job Description
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Dental Assistant to join our team 4 days a week. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing quality dental care to our patients. Your responsibilities will include assisting the dentist during procedures, preparing treatment rooms, and ensuring the comfort of patients throughout their visit. - Assist the dentist during dental procedures
- Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing and arranging instruments and equipment
- Take and develop dental x-rays
- Prepare materials for impressions and restorations
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care
- Perform basic laboratory tasks, such as pouring models and trimming temporary crowns
- Maintain accurate patient records and update medical documentation using Epic or other systems
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of dental anatomy and terminology
- Proficiency in computer systems, including CEREC Units
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Ability to work well in a team environment
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an accredited dental assisting program or equivalent experience
- Current CPR certification
- X-ray certification
- Knowledge of infection control protocols
