Overview We are seeking a dedicated Orthodontic Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to patient success by providing comprehensive support during orthodontic treatments, ensuring adherence to clinical confidentiality policies, and maintaining the highest standards of infection prevention and control. Duties Assist orthodontists during various procedures including bracket placement, wire adjustments, and appliance fittings. Take dental x-rays, including 3D scans when applicable, while adhering to radiation safety standards and HIPAA regulations for patient privacy. Educate patients on orthodontic care instructions, appliance maintenance, and oral hygiene practice. Light appointment scheduling. Uphold clinical confidentiality policies while maintaining a professional demeanor that fosters trust and comfort among patients. Ensure compliance with dental sterilization procedures and infection control standards in accordance with healthcare infection prevention guidelines. Ability to perform dental x-ray procedures accurately while adhering to safety protocols; experience with 3D scanners is desirable.
