Job Description

Dental Hygienist Love Dental - 3.8 Avondale, AZ Job Details Full-time $49 - $52 an hour 18 hours ago Benefits Paid training Paid holidays Dental insurance Paid time off On-the-job training Uniform allowance Employee discount Opportunities for advancement Flexible schedule Qualifications Local Anesthesia Certification Attention to detail Dental Hygiene Registered Dental Hygienist Open Dental Local anesthesia Full Job Description Dental Hygienist (RDH) — Love Dental | Avondale, AZ Part-time now. Growing into more. Local anesthesia and laser certified. We're building out a hygiene schedule, and we're looking for the person who's going to own it. We have an amazing superstar hygienist already and we're growing so fast we're looking to find her an equally amazing partner in crime. This starts as two days — Wednesdays and Fridays. That's honest, and it's the whole point: we'd rather bring on the right hygienist and grow the days around them than half-fill four days. As the schedule builds, this becomes Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday. If you're looking for part-time that stays part-time, that works here too. If you're looking for part-time that turns into full-time, that works here too. Let's talk about which one you are. What "Love Dental" Actually Means "Love" isn't decoration on the sign out front. It's the standard we hold ourselves to every single day: Love our patients — we have empathy for every person in our chair, and we do everything in our control to make their visit something they'd actually recommend to a friend. Love our coworkers — we look out for each other, jump in before we're asked, and communicate with compassion. No negative talk, no leaving teammates hanging. Love our work — we do things the right way for the right reasons, and we're never "stuck" doing it a certain way just because it's comfortable. Better way? We find it. We're a small privately owned office — we can do whatever we want whenever we want, as long as it's the right way. No waiting on corporate approvals. Love ourselves enough to bring our best version to work — positive attitude, YES WE CAN energy, personal stress left at the door. Love our growth — we improve 1% every day. We read, we learn, we apply, and we don't repeat the same mistakes. We look forward, not backward. Love our adaptability — new systems, new challenges, tasks outside the job description? We adapt and figure it out instead of throwing our hands up. If you read that and thought "that's how I already work" — we should talk. What You'll Own You're a licensed hygienist. You know the clinical responsibilities, we know the clinical responsibilities, and we're not going to waste your time listing them. Here's what actually matters to us: The patient's experience of their own mouth. Not a recited spiel — an actual conversation that leaves someone understanding what's happening in there and what to do about it. Patients who understand their perio status show up for their perio maintenance. Your hygiene schedule. Pre-appointing, recall, the patients who drift. You're not doing that alone — the front desk is working it hard — but the hygienist who cares about their own column is the reason a hygiene schedule holds. Comfortable appointments. You're local anesthesia certified and we expect you to use it. Nobody should white-knuckle a quad of SRP in our office. Co-diagnosis with the doctor. You see these patients more than the doctor does. What you notice and how you hand it off changes whether someone gets treated this year or in five years. The culture. Be a thermostat, not a thermometer. What You Bring Required — not "preferred": Valid Arizona dental hygiene license, from an accredited program Local anesthesia certification — required Laser certification — required We're specific about those two because we actually use them. They're part of how we deliver care here, not a line on a wish list.
Also:
A genuine, warm chairside manner — patients feel it Real communication skills, with patients and with teammates A growth mindset. "I don't know that yet, but I want to learn" is one of our favorite sentences around here Attention to detail and the organization to run on time without rushing anybody
The Details Pay:
$49-$52/hr base — guaranteed. Where you start depends on what you walk in with. There's more? Yes! Plus a percentage of production — on top of your base, not instead of it. You're rewarded for the dentistry you actually do. Base + production, best of both worlds. How is there more? Plus daily bonuses! — daily team production bonus, cash! How can there possible be more?! Plus a monthly Team Goal Bonus — when the practice hits its monthly collection goals, the whole team shares in the win as a percentage of what we produce together. The higher we climb, the more there is to share. You share directly in the results of work you helped create, directly and indirectly.
Schedule:
Wednesdays and Fridays to start, 7:30 AM-5:00 PM (we start together with a morning huddle so everyone walks into the day knowing the plan. Sometimes leaving at 5:30 can be expected). Growing to Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday as the schedule builds. Also, just kidding, Fridays are until 4:00 PM because yes.
Benefits:
Paid time off, sick days, and paid holidays Paid CE / continuing education — we invest in your growth Paid training and on-the-job training Scrub / uniform allowance Huge employee dental discount Opportunities for advancement as we grow A team that cares about you Pay relative to your value. Increase your value, increase your pay. No waiting on arbitrary raises every few years. Why People Stay Here Great team with a great culture. Absolutely drama-free — really. High-quality, patient-driven (not profit-driven) dentistry. Profitable too, because good care is. Brand new equipment and high-quality materials. Willing to order specific products if you have your own preferences. Handheld X-ray + cone beam Open Dental + Overjet (AI radiographs) We're that high-tech, high-quality office you hear about Privately owned by one doctor — we pivot and adjust quickly, no bureaucracy An owner-dentist who genuinely cares about your quality of life How to Apply Email your resume to . In the subject line, put: Hygiene — [your favorite snack] In the body, answer two things in a few sentences each: Which of our core values resonates most with you, and why. Tell us about a patient who was scared, or difficult, or hadn't been to a dentist in years — and what you actually did. We read every single one. We're looking to fill this position as soon as we find the right person, and we're eager to meet you. Love Dental is an equal opportunity employer.
