Job Description
We are looking for a Part-time, highly motivated Dental Hygienist to join our friendly practice in Cheshire, CT.
Schedule:
Mondays, 8:00 AM-6:00 PM, with potential for additional days/hours. At Advanced Dentistry, we are dedicated to providing exceptional oral healthcare in a welcoming, patient-centered environment. As a Dental Hygienist, you will play a vital role in our mission to deliver outstanding preventive and therapeutic dental care. You'll work closely with dentists and the rest of our clinical team to ensure every patient receives the highest standard of care, education, and support for their oral health journey. Key Responsibilities Conduct thorough dental cleanings, including scaling, polishing, and application of preventive materials such as sealants and fluoride. Perform comprehensive oral health assessments and document findings in patient records. Take and process dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques, nutrition, and preventive care. Assist dentists during examinations and procedures as required. Identify signs of oral diseases and communicate findings to the dentist for further evaluation. Maintain strict adherence to infection control and sterilization protocols. Stay current with industry best practices and participate in ongoing professional development. Required Qualifications Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Dental Hygiene from an accredited program. Current state licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH). Valid CPR/BLS certification. Proficiency in dental software and electronic health records. Strong understanding of dental radiography and infection control standards. Preferred Skills Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a compassionate approach to patient care. Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities. Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Bilingual abilities are a plus.
