Summary:
Provide didactic, laboratory, and clinical teaching/training to students within the Dental Hygiene program.Summary of Duties & Responsibilities:
Didactic course preparation, presentation, development, course management, grading, and evaluation Participate, and support clinic and/or pre-clinic assignments Pursue excellence in teaching using a variety of techniques of computers, multimedia, and in lectures, and labs Stay current with learning resources, textbooks, dental hygiene clinical equipment/supplies, technology, and software required by the dental hygiene program Student mentoring, counseling, and advisement for success and retention Maintain accurate and updated student records Maintain regular office hours to assist students, and support the dental hygiene program Participate in faculty orientation/development/meetings Display and maintain professional demeanor /relationships with students, coworkers, and administrationRequirements:
Bachelor degree required, master degree preferred RDH certification At least 3 years of experience as a Dental Hygienist Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills Highly organized, motivated, and results-driven Prior teaching experience is preferred but not required Regular and reliable attendance Part-time position is hourly, $40-45/hr depending on education and experience; the full-time position is salaried at $80K/yr Hours:
Day class hours run from 7:30am to 4:30pm, evening classes run 5:30pm to 10:30pm. Weekend clinic hours are Saturdays 7:30am - 12:30pmJob Types:
