Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our office. Looking for a candidate for a long term position in our family dental practice. We strive to treat the patients like family and not a production goal then please apply. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care while ensuring the highest standards of dental hygiene and safety. This position involves working closely with patients, assisting in their treatment, and maintaining a clean and organized clinical environment. Duties Perform thorough dental cleanings and examinations to assess oral health. Conduct patient assessments, including taking vital signs and medical histories. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and the importance of preventive care. Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Operate medical imaging equipment for diagnostic purposes. Implement infection control protocols and aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety. Collaborate with the dental team to provide comprehensive patient care. Stay current with dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and best practices in general dentistry. Skills The ideal candidate will possess the following skills: Proficiency in Softdent and Dexis software for patient management needed but can teach. Strong understanding of infection control practices and aseptic techniques. Ability to communicate effectively with patients and provide compassionate care. Attention to detail in patient assessment and record keeping. A solid foundation in medical terminology related to dental health. Previous experience is preferred, but new grads welcome. $45.00 - $55.00 per hour Expected hours: 16.0 - 30.0 per week
