Overview Join the Gallagher Family Dentistry team as a registered Dental Hygienist and play a vital role in delivering exceptional oral healthcare! In this energetic and rewarding position, you will utilize your expertise to provide comprehensive dental hygiene services, educate patients on maintaining optimal oral health, and support the overall efficiency of our dental practice. Your dedication will help foster a welcoming environment where patients feel confident and cared for at every visit. Responsibilities Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling, polishing, and fluoride treatments to promote healthy smiles. Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical history, taking vital signs, and evaluating oral health status. Educate patients on proper dental care techniques, including brushing, flossing, and dietary advice to prevent future issues. Take dental radiographs (X-rays) using dental imaging equipment while ensuring patient safety and comfort. Assist the dentist during procedures with chairside support, including handling dental instruments and managing infection prevention protocols. Maintain accurate and detailed medical records in electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix, ensuring HIPAA compliance. Follow strict infection control procedures using aseptic techniques to safeguard patient and staff health. Requirements Valid licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist in accordance with state regulations. Experience in general dentistry or pediatric dentistry settings Proficiency with dental software systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix for documentation and scheduling. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, equipment operation, and medical terminology relevant to dental care. Ability to perform dental x-rays accurately while adhering to radiation safety standards. Excellent communication skills for client education and team collaboration. Knowledge of healthcare infection prevention and control standards, including HIPAA compliance management. $40.00 - $45.00 per hour
