Our office in Maple Grove is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic dental hygienist to join our team. We are a busy dental practice with a great community of patients. We are located in the heart of Maple Grove on Main Street near many shops and restaurants. Our staff is proud to share and learn in a positive environment. Our goal is preventative care with motivation and advising patients on oral health options. Hours are flexible! We will work to meet your needs and welcome you to our dental family! Responsibilities Ensure patients feel as comfortable as possible before their examination Sterilize dental instruments properly Conduct initial mouth screenings and check oral health history Identify conditions like gingivitis, caries or periodontitis Clean and help protect patients' teeth (e.g. remove plaque or apply fluoride) Educate patients of all ages on proper teeth care (by demonstrating, for example, good brushing techniques) Give instructions to patients after operations or other dental procedures Take X-rays or dental impressions Maintain documentation and charts on each patient Work with other hygienists to maintain OSHA documents Monitor supplies
