Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our team at Pristine Dental and Orthodontics in Florissant, MO. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, performing dental cleanings, and educating patients on oral health. This role requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy, and patient care practices to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients. Responsibilities Conduct thorough dental cleanings and examinations to assess oral health. Take dental X-rays (radiographs), perform periodontal charting and probing Apply fluoride treatments and perform dental sealant procedures. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits. Take and record vital signs as necessary. Assist in the management of patient records while adhering to HIPAA regulations. Utilize dental practice management software for patient management and documentation. Collaborate with dentists in providing four-handed dentistry during procedures. Maintain a clean and organized work environment within the dental clinic. Stay updated on medical terminology and advancements in dental hygiene practices. Requirements Preferable previous work experience as a Dental Hygienist with a valid state license. Strong knowledge of anatomy, dental terminology, and medical terminology. Familiarity with dental practice management software is a plus. Excellent patient care skills with a compassionate approach to treatment. Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while maintaining professionalism. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients and staff.
