You'll work side‑by‑side with our dentists to support each patient's oral health journey. From completing dental prophylaxis and periodontal maintenance to performing oral cancer screenings and accurate charting. You'll help patients feel confident and cared for at every visit. You'll also jump in where needed to support the team and uphold our high standard of care, contributing to a positive, collaborative, and patient‑focused environment.
What You'll Do:
Provide direct patient care following established dental hygiene procedures Assess patients' dental health through screenings, medical history review, and dental/perio charting Take patient vital signs and required radiographs Perform routine preventive treatments such as cleanings, polishing, sealants, and fluoride Maintain accurate electronic patient records and documentation Educate patients on oral hygiene, home care, and preventive dental health Review and explain treatment plans along with the associated fees with patients Communicate patient needs and concerns clearly to the dentist Clean and sterilize instruments as well as equipment Support treatment coordination and assist with other office duties as needed
Essential Requirements:
Able to arrive by 15 minutes prior to clinic opening for team huddle and daily prep Reliable and dependable Active NC Dental Hygiene license Comfortable working independently and making sound decisions Able to follow, understand, and carry out office protocols Team-oriented with a collaborative mindset Takes initiative and values punctuality Comfortable with repetitive tasks and is attentive to detail Flexible and open to different assignments with a positive attitude Follows instructions and takes ownership of responsibilities Maintains patient confidentiality at all times Able to read and understand safety guidelines, procedure manuals, and written communication Comfortable following instructions provided verbally, in writing, or on schedules and diagrams Share job details to Terms of Use | Privacy Policy | © 2026 Paycom | All Rights Reserved.
