Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Dental Hygienist to join our dental team! In this vital role, you will provide exceptional patient care by performing thorough dental cleanings, assessments, and education, ensuring each patient receives personalized and comprehensive dental services. Your expertise will help promote optimal oral health and foster positive patient experiences in a friendly, professional environment. Responsibilities Perform dental prophylaxis, including cleaning, scaling, and polishing teeth to maintain optimal oral health. Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical history, vital signs, and dental charts to inform treatment plans. Take dental radiographs (X-rays), ensuring proper technique and patient comfort while adhering to infection prevention protocols. Educate patients on proper dental care practices, including oral hygiene techniques, diet counseling, and preventive strategies. Teamwork with Sterilization procedures. Requirements Valid NC state licensure as a Dental Hygienist with current certification to perform dental cleanings and radiography. Experience with Opendental is preferred, but not required. CPR certification Excellent client communication skills with the ability to educate patients effectively about dental care practices. Ability to perform detailed patient assessments including vital signs and medical imaging procedures. Knowledge of HIPAA compliance requirements and maintaining patient confidentiality at all times.
