Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Registered Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team. In this vital role, you will deliver exceptional patient care by providing thorough dental cleanings, patient education, and preventive treatments. Your expertise will help promote optimal oral health and ensure a positive experience for every patient. Duties Perform dental prophylaxis, including cleaning, scaling, and polishing teeth to prevent decay and gum disease. Conduct thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, medical history review, and oral health evaluations. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) using dental imaging equipment while ensuring radiation safety protocols. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and treatment options to foster long-term oral health habits. Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques for efficiency and comfort. Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR/EMR) by documenting treatment details, medical information, and patient interactions in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Manage infection prevention protocols by sterilizing dental instruments, maintaining aseptic technique, and ensuring adherence to infection control standards. Operate dental equipment safely and effectively while troubleshooting minor technical issues as needed. Review documentation for accuracy and completeness, including medical coding and treatment notes to support billing processes. Uphold patient confidentiality at all times in accordance with HIPAA guidelines and healthcare privacy laws. Qualifications Valid state licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist with current credentials. Proven experience in general dentistry, pediatric dentistry preferred but not required. Proficiency with dental practice management software such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and infection control procedures. Skilled in chairside assisting techniques, including taking vital signs and operating dental x-ray equipment. Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate patients effectively about their oral health needs. Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems and documentation review processes. Knowledge of HIPAA compliance management and maintaining patient confidentiality at all times. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while providing compassionate patient care. Pay:
$50.00 - $55.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
