About the role
Overview
Are you a new or seasoned dental hygienist looking for a new opportunity? Our West Salem practice is rearrang and needs your expertise. As two of our seasoned hygienists cut back their schedules there is an opportunity to join us for Full or Part-time employment.
The ideal candidate will be passionate about both oral and general health and providing exceptional patient care. Become an important part of a team which works together and is supportive.
Requirements
Current Oregon Dental Hygiene License
Nitrous Oxide Sedation a plus
New grads are welcome.
Active BLS certification required.
Local anesthesia endorsement required.
Responsibilities
Conduct exceptional periodontal therapy for patients of all ages
Co-manage patients with the dentist as a TEAM
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and how they affect our overall health
Perform dental charting and take patient medical histories with the help of our amazing dental assistants. Yes, you actually get help on EVERY patient!
Take digital radiographs
We have a sterilization tech and dental assistants to take care of room turnover

Update and maintain patient dental records - our software is Open Dental.

Strong understanding of infection control protocols. Asepsis cannot be negotiated.
Skilled in dental documentation
