Responsibilities Fabricate and finish dental prostheses including dentures, crowns, bridges, and implant-supported restorations with meticulous attention to detail. Utilize CAD (Computer-Aided Design) and CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) software for digital design and manufacturing of dental appliances. Operate and maintain advanced dental equipment such as micrometers, 3D printers, milling machines, and ceramics furnaces to ensure optimal performance. Collaborate with dental professionals to interpret prescriptions, treatment plans, and medical documentation for accurate prosthetic fabrication. Apply laboratory techniques involving ceramics, acrylics, metals, and other materials to produce durable, aesthetic restorations. Ensure strict adherence to infection control protocols and aseptic techniques throughout all laboratory processes. Assist with the development of custom prosthetics for complex cases such as full arch restorations and removable prosthodontics, including complete denture fabrication. Maintain detailed records of procedures performed, materials used, and quality control measures in accordance with HIPAA regulations and medical terminology standards. Qualifications Proven experience in dental laboratory fabrication with a strong understanding of dental anatomy, occlusion, and prosthodontics principles. Proficiency in digital design for dental prosthetics using CAD software; experience with CAM software is highly desirable. Knowledge of implantology procedures and implant prosthodontics for creating precise restorations. Familiarity with laboratory techniques involving ceramics, metals, acrylics, and other restorative materials. Ability to interpret dental prescriptions accurately and communicate effectively with dental professionals. Strong attention to detail with excellent manual dexterity; capable of working with small components using precision tools like micrometers. Understanding of medical terminology related to dentistry and patient assessment procedures. Experience working within a dental office environment or laboratory setting is preferred; knowledge of EMR systems is a plus. Commitment to infection control standards and aseptic techniques essential for maintaining a safe work environment. Knowledge of pediatric dentistry considerations is advantageous but not required.
