Duties Assist the endodontists during complex procedures such as root canals, oral surgeries, and other endodontic treatments with skillful chairside support. Prepare treatment rooms with dental instruments, sterilized equipment, and necessary materials following strict infection prevention management protocols. Operate advanced dental technology including 3D scanners, digital X-ray machines, and imaging devices to facilitate accurate diagnoses and treatment planning. Manage patient electronic records. Take dental X-rays, including dental x-ray procedures, ensuring proper technique and safety measures are followed. Maintain strict adherence to dental sterilization procedures, infection control standards, and aseptic techniques to uphold healthcare infection prevention and control expertise. Educate patients on oral health care practices related to endodontics. Skills Working as a part of a team. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, and clinical procedures related to endodontics and general dentistry. Experience with dental instrument processing, sterilization procedures, infection prevention management, and aseptic techniques. Skilled in operating dental equipment including X-ray machines, 3D scanners, dental sterilizers, and other clinical tools. Ability to perform chairside assisting with four-handed dentistry techniques efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Familiarity with healthcare regulations including HIPAA compliance for safeguarding patient information. Excellent communication skills for effective patient care coordination and collaboration within the dental team.
