Job Description
Overview We are looking for an individual who is professional, organized, punctual, works as a team player and is both caring and compassionate. Job duties include sterilizing instruments, breaking down and setting up rooms. Equipment maintenance, laundry, putting away supplies and stocking, and perio charting for the hygienists. Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Sterilization Technician to join our team temporarily to cover a maternity leave. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining a safe and sterile environment for both patients and staff by ensuring that all dental instruments and equipment are properly cleaned, sterilized, and maintained. Duties Perform cleaning, sterilization, and maintenance of dental instruments and equipment according to established protocols. Ensure compliance with infection control standards in accordance with HIPAA regulations. Assist in the preparation of treatment rooms by ensuring all necessary instruments are sterilized and ready for use. Properly setting up surgical trays for the doctor and treatment trays for the hygienists. Collaborate with dental staff to ensure efficient workflow within the clinic. Assist with some dental charting (willing to train). Experience Previous experience in a dental clinic or healthcare setting is a MUST. Knowledge of infection control practices and procedures is essential. Familiarity with dental terminology and procedures will be beneficial. Candidates who possess these skills will be well-prepared to contribute effectively to our team while ensuring the highest standards of patient care.
